COVID-19 Crisis

LESC Community,

I recognize how challenging it is to navigate through life and work in the midst of racial injustice coming to a head and constant developments in relation to the COVID-19 crisis.  All of this has turned the world upside down as we know it. The fundamental routines and rhythms of our daily lives – at home and at work – have changed, and we have had to completely rethink and reprioritize our personal priorities, and that of this company’s.

Despite what has felt at times like chaos, what stands out most to me is the determination and commitment demonstrated by you, our employees at LESC. I stand in awe of our team’s toughness, compassion, dedication, work ethics and loyalty in spite of all that has been going on in this political and social climate.

In all modesty, as a result of your dedication and commitment, LESC’s values have truly been applied in these difficult times. The executive staff and I are committed to you always.

I want to recognize in particular our front line staff. All of you continue to show up and take care of the clients and tenants, and this commitment and discipline has helped LESC to maintain business continuity and further gain the support of our clients and tenants.

As we move into the next Phase it is the company’s priority to support you in every way possible.

To overcome this unique challenge, I beg all of you to stay focused on those priorities.

1. Safety – We can only make positive contributions and have our purpose and values if we stay healthy and avoid spreading the virus.
2. To the extent possible – please show compassion to the Black and Brown community around you.
3. Keep in mind that business continuity is key.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to you for your efforts, commitment and hard work. Please remember my open-door policy if you ever feel so overwhelmed by all that is going on, and need to talk.
