Heidi Albertsen

Heidi Albertsen is best known as an international supermodel born in
Copenhagen, Denmark. She was a winner of the Elite Model Look of the
Year, and has been featured on the covers of world-class style and fashion
magazines such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, and Elle; and as a product
ambassador for numerous brands including Loreal, Guess, Nicole Miller,
Roberto Cavalli and Victoria’s Secret.
Heidi has pursued her studies in New York City at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Hunter College, and the City University of New York. In the summer of 2008, she assumed the dual roles of Chief Ambassador and Fundraiser/Event Organizer for Life Project for Africa. In 2009, she became a proud ambassador for the Lower Eastside Service Center and has dedicated much of her time to the support of our many community-based health and human services programs.

Justine Simmons

Justine Simmons, star of MTV's hit reality show Run’s House,
is the quintessential mother and entrepreneur. She successfully manages
and balances her roles as an accomplished author, jewelry designer,
and philanthropist with her most important roles as a loving wife and
mother of six beautiful children.
Justine has graced thousands of readers with a sweet and powerful message
in her children¹s book, God, Can Your Hear Me? She and her
husband, Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons of the pioneering musical trio known
as Run DMC, co-authored the New York Times best seller, Take Back
Your Family in 2008, in which they shared their inspiring thoughts
on creating a close-knit, productive, and successful household. This
emphasis on family values is echoed in the Simmons’ incredibly popular
Run’s House TV series, which is currently in its sixth season.
Justine proudly accepted the NAACP Award for Outstanding Reality Series
for the show in 2008.
Further showcasing her enormous capacity for caring and kindness, Justine
has become a big supporter of the Pregnant Women & Infants Program
at the Lower Eastside Service Center, and will be proudly acknowledged
as a 2010 LESC Gala Honoree at the agency’s 2010 Annual Dinner on May
17th.
